The Landscape Industry option provides students with a broad-based education in preparation for careers in landscape-related industries such as contracting, maintenance, nursery production, and garden-center operations. While often loosely described as “landscaping”, careers in this field are diverse as this option educates students for future leadership in the field. The degree requirements are structured so that students develop practical skills in the field, advanced knowledge in the plant sciences, and an understanding of business principles. The degree path allows the student some flexibility to pursue a specialized interest within the field or a concentration in an additional field of interest.
