Best Landscape Architecture in NJ?
Some have asked, as a student (or fan) of landscape architecture, what are some worthwhile examples of landscape architecture that I could visit without leaving New Jersey? Any effort to compile a complete list becomes impossible. We'll have disagreements about whether a site (like Grounds for Sculpture) is good or bad. And anything we omit will risk hard feelings. Still, our students and prospective students ask the question and we like to provide some answers.

Of course, New Jersey has some great landscapes that have nothing to do with design. If you missed the Pine Barrens, the Highlands, the Meadowlands and the Jersey Shore you would be missing some of our best landscapes. And someone interested in landscape architecture really should cross the Hudson and Delaware Rivers to visit some of the truly great examples in the region (list coming soon).

Washington Town Center - can we call it a 'best" when they fired some of the better designers? It certainly represents a notable movement.

Weequahaic Park - it is hard to argue with PPS and Omlsted
Van Vorst Park
Cape May Circle
