The object of this prize is to stimulate design exploration and discovery through travel. A 1 to 2 week trip within the US or abroad is sponsored for Juniors who have maintaned at least a 3.0 GPA in their LA courses. Applications for the Travel Prize must include a statement of objective, a study plan, a study product, and a proposed budget. Information will be provided each February with applications accepted after Spring Break.

The 2008 Summer Program will take place in Germany, visiting 3 major cities, Berlin, Dusseldorf, and Munich. The trip will last 5 weeks and will satisty course requirements for 11:550:460 (5 credits).
Cultural and Ecological Landscapes of the Yucatan
The focus of the course is the exploration of Mayan ruins, ecological preserves, and important cities of the Yucatan Peninsula. The 18 day study tour is offered during winter break. In addition there are on campus orientation sessions fall semester and final group presentations spring semester.
